Landscape Fabric
« on: May 09, 2010, 10:04:54 PM »
I am looking for landscape fabric in large sizes other that 4' wide. I would like it to be 30'x50' or larger to cover my whole garden before planting, and I could reuse it 2 to 3 yrs. Does anyone know if this is available and where I can get it.
Thanks.

ive seen it in 20 ft wide rolls, not sure how long they rolled out to. we use it sometimes around bridges we are building to keep the soil from erodeing.find a local place that sells industrial concrete supplies.if they dont have it they will know where to get it.

Why not use hay/grass/leaves/straw instead?  That way you can till it in after the garden is done, and it will feed next years plants.  If you put it on heavy, no weeds will grow through it, and your garden will need much less water too...

Landscaping or garden supplies that supply to businesses should have the larger rolls. around here some Fleet Farm stores have larger rolls.

Check the inter-net also, while shipping adds, often it is not high enough to discourage ordering.
