How did We Miss This One?????

I’m sure that some LUCKY cannoneer from this form now has this fine and very affordable cannon? Here is the listing, with picture, as was posted July 21st, 2010.

•   Civil war era cannon for sale. I think it is a Howizer and is in firing condition. My father recently passed away and willed it to me. Thats him in the photo.I live in an apartment and have no place to put it but I want it to go to a real collector who will take care of it. It was his prize possession. That maybe a real find for someone ! looks pretty good to me . Any details or better photos?

Hopefully an at least halfway decent soul offered her a lot more money, or somene called and informed her that she should definitely up the ante.

RIP John. While on vacation July 4th 2013 in northern Wisconsin, he was ATVing with family and pulled ahead of everyone and took off at break-neck speed without a helmet. He lost control.....hit a tree....and the tree won.  He died instantly.

Boom J,

According to the Son, the owner, it was sold just within a couple of days of the posting.
As of this writing, it is still showing up on the C-List.

Well I guess I should bow my head and apologize to all women everywhere for jumping to a prejudiced conclusion; that is of course except my wife, for the obvious reason that it’s probably not that bright an idea to supply ammunition to people that have been known to take an occasional pot shot at you. ;)

Cpt Ed, I found the auction, but I didn’t call the number; if this sale is indeed a done deal, then you can bet that someone is now wearing an ear to ear grin.
