HELLO ALL,
                I HAVE A ENCORE PRO HUNTER PISTOL 209X50 15 INCH BARREL, I HAVE NOT SHOT THIS YET,BUT WANTED TO KNOW IF THERES ANYONE OUT HERE WHO HAS ONE, AND THE TYPE OF LOADING THERE LIKEING THE BEST WITH IT. AS I TEND TO USE SABOT BY T/C 50 CAL SABOT,USING A 45 CAL XTP BULLET240 GRAIN. THIS WILL BE USED FOR CLOSE INCOUNTERS,,MY ENCORE RIFLE 209X50 WILL TAKE CARE OF THE LONG SHOTS TO BE SURE.   ANY HELP IS GREATFUL. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO EMAIL ME ,,  WHITETAILSNIPER@YAHOO.COM   IM ALSO LOOKING FOR A 7712 FOREND FOR THIS PISTOL,EITHER IN BLK. OR WALNUT.

i have not shot one yet but i have read that 90gr of #777 and a 250 shockwave works well
kids that hunt and fish dont mug old Ladies
and drive a F150

I have one.

You can use just about any load in them but think that the lighter the load the better for accuracy.

I use 50 grains of FFFG Goex with a 300 grain XTP bullet, I have used 85 grains and that load is pretty stout ! And think that you would develope some bad shooting habbits if you used that stout load very long.

Also use the TC cheap shots in her as well.

*** Patched .490 Round balls shoot well with the light load.

Keep in mind that with 50 grains of powder you can get pass throughs on a deer at 50 yards, most of my deer ok all of my deer with a muzzleloader have been less than 40 yards over the 25 plus years and I only had 1 bullet stay in the deer. So don't be affraid to try a load that light.

I took the rear sight off and threw it away, I put a Williams peep sight on her and the groups shrunk. (my eyes are used to shooting with a peep as I did a lot of tournament archery shooting and always used a peep)
