For a discontinued item, there sure are a lot of 45LC Carbines available, Bud's has em in stock again for $289 shipped.

Is it really discontinued?  It really is a sweet rifle.  It's hard to figure those folks.

I know.....It seems like they would start building some more 30-30s than they do. I have a .45 colt carbine, and it is fun but factory ammunition is a little expensive.A box of 20 rounds of 30-30 can be had for around $15 or less.Maybe build a 30-30 BC carbine.... ;D

I can't believe it's discontinued.  It's really a nice rifle.
I would think (was hoping anyway) that they'd make more of them in classic calibers like 32-20, 30-30 etc.

All I can say is get one while you can.  Next think ya know, people will be selling used ones for $500 or more on GunBroker.   ::)

I couldn't resist.  I just ordered one from Buds......I had to put my Vaquero buy on the back burner.  I think that my 45/70 is going to get jealous now because I found a new deer rifle.

Is this 45LC BC Carbine on a SB2 frame?

Just answered my own question when I read Quickdtoo's answer in "Dumb question" thread....
Quote
The CR-45LC 45 Colt Buffalo Classic Carbine comes from the factory on the same SB2 frame as a Buffalo Classic 45-70, at least it always has unless Remington has changed their policy on it, unfortunately you can't tell by the model number like most other H&Rs.

Tim

Thanks,
Rob

alot of the one's for sale around here, still new in box, are of the HX vintage.  i think the gun shop bought them in bulk, and just slowly filter them out.
