We had Track Conference here in Colorado. There were high school meets all across our state on Friday and Saturday, and today CHASA posted those who qualified for the State Meet. In our 4A competition, they only allow the top 18 competitors of each event to compete at the State Meet.

My daughter qualified in 3 of her 4 events. At state this year she will be competeing in the 3200, the 1600, and the 4x800. I could not be more proud of what she has accomplished and for her this could not have been a more fulfilling finish to her senior year of high school.

The State Meet is this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday...she graduates on Sunday.

I'll sleep sometime on Monday. I have seen her do so much already in her young life...definately a proud Papa.  8)

    Congratulations on being a Dad that's there for her.  This past Saturday we attended my oldest grand daughter's high school graduation.  There were only 31 in her class but from what I saw, these were quality kids.  As an LEO, most of the time I come in contact with the ones that their families have given up on.  They're in the gangs and running the streets at 9-10 years old and have no respect for anyone. I know that there are a lot of great youngsters out there, they just don't get the "press" that the hooligans get.  Best wishes for the up coming meet.  Just always be there for her.

Well my little girl just graduated from High School. I'm sitting in my classroom waiting for my wife so that we can go home and hold the reception. Just a few hours to go and this will be a memory.

...I can't believe that she's all grown up and will gone this fall.
