Good advice. I represented my local gun shop when a fancy shotgun was damaged in shipping. The box looked like the gun had been run over by a truck. Yes tire marks. The carrier refused to pay and we filed a small claims case against them. They defended on the grounds that the person who signed for the package didn't note the damage on shipping reciept. The signature was quited clearly "Item Damaged" Judge had no problem with that one.
