Wolf @ 100
« on: July 05, 2010, 05:47:13 PM »
I took my nephew out to 50 yards early today and he sighted in the Wolf 1 1/2" high at 50. We took it out to 100 yards around 6pm when it was cooler " 85* but no sun" and he squeezed off a shot, and 4" low. Took one more and hit to the right. We slowly walked the shots up and then he took a 3 shot group. I will most likely go 2 clicks up and 2 to the right to get her center.

I send in an old CVA Blazer and CVA sent me this back as an replacement, So wrapped it up and gave it to my nephew for his 15th birthday. His grandpa bought him the 3-9x40 Bushnell scope to use on it.

250gr Slick Load Sabots, 80gr Blackhorn209, CCI 209M Primers @100 yards.

After seeing him do that, i plan on dropping my load down to 80gr in my Accura with these sabots and see how they do!

I shoot exactly the same in my Wolf, except that i use 250 XTP HP and Harvester crush rib sabots. It shoots just as accurately.

I'm using 90 gr of BH209 and 245 gr Powerbelts. I got <2" grouips at 100 yds. My Son-in-law took a nice 9 point whitetail at 125 yards last season with his Wolf.

I shot my Wolf recently. Nobel Sport primer, 80 grains of BH 209 powder, 250 XTP bullets and Harvester sabots.
Started from clean barrel and fired 12 shots without cleaning. At 100 yards group was 1.5"x 2.5", mostly one big oval hole (vertical). I am content.
