Problem with the "system" is not the "lesser of two evils" arguement. It is the fact that we have established bureaucracies that are not elected. Top officials are appointed by the president. We have the cabinet, with all the government agencies under the cabinet officers. Many are not replaced when a new president comes in. We need a good president with matching party that listens to the people and cuts all the red tape and downsizes the bureaucracies or eliminates them. FDR's bureaus didn't get eliminated until WWII started. We have the CIA, FBI, SEC, DHS, Health & Human services, FDA, Education Department, Energy Department, Military and all under it. OSHA, EPA, and I could go on and on. These Bureaus run the country. Republicans may reign them in and be less intrusive, but Dem's want more and more government control. Bureaucracy is what destroyed the Soviet Union. Bureaucracy and too many government benefits are what is bringing Europe down. The most socialist are falling first. Too much power given to government.
My theory, vote for the best cantidate in primaries, then the lesser of two evils in the fall. Keep it up until you turn the big ship to the right. Get involved, and vote.
