That sounds like a good plan as far as it goes Stan. The question is just who the heck is it we are gonna vote for that's gonna do a better job. Dee is right on at least one part of his comments regarding the "lessor of two evils" and that is both parties are evil and rotten to the core.

Oh there are some politicians who do I think still have some concern for our best interest but both major parties are under the control of the same super rich cabal of internationalists who could care less for this country or whether we continue as a country or not.

So voting for a republican to get rid of the current democrap or vice versa isn't gonna change one single thing other than the names of the folks doing it to us. We need a complete flush of the folks in charge and that just ain't happening via the ballot box and quite frankly I don't see it happening any other way either at least not in the life time of anyone living today.

We need an alternative party or parties to vote for and that must begin at the local level and will likely take generations to make happen if it happens at all. Sadly the folks we need to elect to set about this change won't be on the ballot for any of us to vote for this next round of elections and I don't think they will be in any election cycle in my life time.

It will take a shooting war another of those sorta "us against them" types we had twice now in the history of this nation to make a significant change and frankly I don't see that happening in my life time either. Even if it does the outcome might or might not go as some of us feel would be the best. Don't forget it's the winners who get to write or to rewrite history. I wish I could see a good outcome looming but don't. Maybe it's just the pessimist in me coming out but the only changes I see ahead are those that finish the process of bringing our country down.

Then run for office. Im sure there is a city council where you live. Become active in your party of choice. In fact, after I took part in the 2008 election campaign going door to door in the get out the vote effort,I got a letter from the local party office asking be to check the boxes of things I might be willing to do,from hosting meetings to donating money. One of the questions was "Would you be interested in running for an elected office". You can also run as an independent if you wish and in local elections, you might actually win as one. Remember, the President didn't just wake up one day and say "I'm running for president",he ran for low level offices and built connections on the way up. Thats how it works. You could do that too.

Actually,he,like MOST people who run for president, probably DID decide one day "Im going to run for president",but like most other people that did that,he ran for something like city council first.

If you don't like the politicians we have, and think there should be a politician who stands for the things you believe in,you can BE that person.

I have to say,you are very correct about what the outcome of a violent change of government could be. Most such things turn out badly by anyone's standard. We just got lucky. Most nations got through dictator after dictator before,if they are lucky, getting a good stable government. Honestly, for all the problems we have, its not nearly as bad as it could be.Honestly, most of the people calling for such violent change are proposing the same sort of crazy philosophies that brought us NAZI germany and Soviet Russia.

Fortunately, our votes still do count. There may be problems in the system, but the politicians still serve because WE vote for them. Money, and lies may be able to convince people to vote for one candidate or another, but without those votes, they don't get to keep their jobs. The problems we have though are due to the fact that most people DON'T get involved. Be part of the solution.

It will take a shooting war another of those sorta "us against them" types we had twice now in the history of this nation to make a significant change and frankly I don't see that happening in my life time either. Well, there's enough cops who will serve the warrants.  There's enough of your neighbors who will make a call if they hear a shot.  Look up Quislings....Hey, we have plenty of prison space, they can turn the drug offenders loose to make room for the people that are really dangerous to their hold on power, the "insurgents" known formerly as gun owners.
You better have a plan...and then, you better keep it to yourself.  If one person knows it..everyone knows it. After you form your plan, tear it apart and rethink it.   Be paranoid.  Paranoia is your friend.
Whatever you're going to do you better do it before you "need" to.  After the  big-ban,  "They" are going to be looking for people carry tubes and shovels on public land.
Oh, by the way, it doesn't hurt to vote the right way and inundate your elected officials with emails and letters expressing your opinion...on any matter.

Problem with the "system" is not the "lesser of two evils" arguement.  It is the fact that we have established bureaucracies that are not elected.  Top officials are appointed by the president.  We have the cabinet, with all the government agencies under the cabinet officers.  Many are not replaced when a new president comes in.  We need a good president with matching party that listens to the people and cuts all the red tape and downsizes the bureaucracies or eliminates them.  FDR's bureaus didn't get eliminated until WWII started.  We have the CIA, FBI, SEC, DHS, Health & Human services, FDA, Education Department, Energy Department, Military and all under it.  OSHA, EPA, and I could go on and on.  These Bureaus run the country.  Republicans may reign them in and be less intrusive, but Dem's want more and more government control.  Bureaucracy is what destroyed the Soviet Union.  Bureaucracy and too many government benefits are what is bringing Europe down.  The most socialist are falling first.  Too much power given to government.

My theory, vote for the best cantidate in primaries, then the lesser of two evils in the fall.  Keep it up until you turn the big ship to the right.  Get involved, and vote.

the assault rifles are  banned  they will want  your handi rifle

NOOOOOO!!!!!  :'(  I love the Handi

Ill tell you this much,if they DO manage to eliminate all guns, then they are going to be really shocked when they find out that 11% or so of all the money we spent on guns was going for conservation of wildlife and their habitats and now THEY have to foot the bill. The left loves conservation,so expect the lost revenue to be found somewhere else. I find it amazing that the people who go on about saving the environment have NO idea where the all the money to do it comes from.
