I am tryin to get into trapping muskrat what all will I need to get? I wouldn't mind some tips too.

 Take a look at the post on preferred muskrat getters.
 Alos--what state do you come from? Laws vary from state to state on every animal.
 As we go along, we will help you all we can--on becoming a proficient muskrat trapper.

Born to hunt,

Muskrats are fun to trap.  I would go with #1 stoploss or 110 conibears.  Get up with the Bogmaster; I am sure he can hook you up on all the supplies and truck needed to trap these critters.  There are a lot of good tips on this board and people are willing to share their knowledge.

 Check out your regs before you get going. I do know parts of ohio have very good rat populations.
 I am a dyed in the wool-stoploss person.

I will have to check the regs but I have seen a few rats around ponds and all that can't wait to start trapping them

in ohio nothing bigger than a 5 by 5 body gripper on land and no foot trap with a jaw spread bigger than 5 and a half on land
