Shot Doms Mortar

We had a cast bullet rifle assc.  match Sat. and I took the Doms MB-2 soda can mortar that I had him make with a 11 in. barrel for shooting after the match, I found that the chamber full to the chambers lead holds  3/4 oz. of  GOEX 2FF, I used the  1/2 soda can and the full lenght can filled with Menards concert mix and let the cans dry inside for 2 weeks. I used the Harbor Frieght  finder and that works great. The sled was on a slop so the reading wasnt true, It will be the best to put a bubble lever on the sled to find a level area first. The rifle ranges back target fram is 200 yds., and behind that is a bean field, The full can of cement went 240 yds. The 1/2 can will go 275 yds. There was ladys in there 80s out there watching this also,It was worth all the work to see everone enjoying the fun.If it wasnt for finding this web site and DD for the help it would of never happend.  Thanks Dom for a great job and a safe barrel. Now lets just hold on here a minute.  Am I to understand that a new mortar was shot...at least twice and there are no pictures of smoke and flame posted???  This is unethical.  DD...isn't there something we hand out that is the opposite of a kewpie?  I have a few ideas for a name but they cannot be used on this forum so I will leave them to you imagination.

Smokejoe...next time...pictures...PLEASE!!!

 I got all kinds of pics. making the mortar, and lots of pics. on making the BB mortar at the shop. I signed up to host the pics. but I cant down load them. I have to wait to get someone to help me, I got this new computor , windows 7 and I am having troubles running it,Thanks- Joe

not a super hero  yet, I haven't help him...I have tried to help two others here on the board in the past and was unsuccessful...kind like back in the old days when I was a street cop...gave CPR 5 times, no survivors.

 I have been in the shop all day working on the sled for the BB mortar , is 97 Deg. and I am burned out and will try getting the pics. going later, Thansk for the help, Joe
