Polishing Ultra Slugs

Does any one have any input on polishing their ultra slug gun barrels and if not polishing giving it a deep cleaning.

I was thinking about it on my boys ultra slug guns and wanted some input before I gave it a go.

 Does it really need it. My tracker II barrel had deposits inside that looked like rust pitting,but when I cleaned it up it is mirror smooth and shiny. I just alternated with a bronze brush and patches for about an hour using hoppes #9. The inside of the barrel is literally silver and reflective like a mirror now on the lands. I cant imagine how anything could make it better.
