45 degrees is the standard angle for fixed barrels.

67 although less traditional is fun, gives you more air time and less distance.  Its fun to watch the projo and listen for the THUD.

Joe, if you decide to leave it around 60 degs., Cat Whisperer can tell you WHY you should never shoot it into a stiff breeze!   :o :o

Smokin' my pipe on the mountings, sniffin' the mornin'-cool,
I walks in my old brown gaiters along o' my old brown mule,
With seventy gunners be'ind me, an' never a beggar forgets
It's only the pick of the Army that handles the dear little pets - 'Tss! 'Tss!

It's OK -  IFF (if and only if) there's NO one behind you.  You have about 8-10 seconds to watch the can arch slightly down and then sail back behind you.  PLANNING is good:  like where is the truck parked?

Uh, no thanks. I don't like dodging projectiles.  :o

My GB mortar can be adjusted from about 35° to 60°, but so far it's never been fired at more than 50°.

For display it stays at 45°. The sled was designed around that angle and that's where it looks best.

It might, if you are concerned make capsquares and tighten the down.
