28ga a little more horse power and a little more shot capacity, although I have yet to find any 28ga slugs. Or here is my 22" 20ga mod choke It's light  and very quick handling.

The little 410's are alot of fun. I had one that I cut down to 20" and mounted a 4x scope on it. It was a great slug shooter out to 50 yds.
I'd like to get a 410 versa pack barrel and scope it.

Spanky, I did that with a 410 I had a couple years ago. Cut it down, scoped it up, made a slug shooter out of it. It shot really well for me, especially with winchester 2 1/2" rifled slugs. The 3" brenneke shot very well also!...It was a really great little slugger!  Thanks! scout4<><      In this photo, the holes outside the green circle are from buckshot I tried that did not shoot to good. The holes inside the green circle are from slugs.

.410 shotguns are a lot of fun. My kids shoot the Versa Pack with youth stock version. I also picked up a .410 Pardner for my girlfriend a few months back. She loves to shoot it. I bought a .45 Colt Carbine barrel that I'm going to fit to that same frame so she'll be covered for both partridge hunting and deer hunting with me in the fall.

...I have yet to find any 28ga slugs.

I have heard of two approaches to 28g slugs.

These guys have a single lead ball and carrier: http://www.ballisticproducts.com/prodinfo.asp?number=0721628.

The other suggestion was to get .54cal muzzle loader sabots and stuff them in a 28g hull. I have no idea if that works, but the caliber/bore is right I believe...try at your own risk, I have not been there or done that.
