My first big game rifle was an 8mm sporterized mauser. I paid $15 for it and it had a 4 power Weaver scope. Guy used it in Vietnam. He was in the navy on a ship off North Vietnam. He used it to kill North Vietnamese solders firing towards the ship. Said guys not on duty would line the ship just to get target practice at the Vietnamese soldiers.
