Someone just gave me this......
« on: June 05, 2010, 01:47:50 PM »
A friend was going through some stuff and had a pile in the warehouse for me....
this was on the pile  ;D .........

I have both this and a blue print which is badly faded, they both have been rolled
up together for a long time,  I plan on getting this in a frame and on the wall,
All measurements are legible and scale is 1/3d
Mr president I do not cling to either my gun or my Bible.... my gun is holstered on my side so I may carry my Bible and quote from it!

have someone to make a copy of it first before you frame it

If I am right this acts as the "plate" blueprints are made from I wonder if anyone
in my area is still set up old school and could reproduce prints off this?

larger manufacturing industries usually have equipment for that
or your county may have some architect office who could help you

The problem is computers and CAD drawing have taken the place of
that equipment...... I'll ask my wife's uncle if the shipyard still has the
equipment to do it or if it was scrapped...

another way would be to take a photo with a high resolution camera and print it out
and you got it in your computer also

Good idea.  There are several of US that have cad that would do it and share.

Maybe take it to kinko's or office depot and have them run off some copies. Frank

That's an option I will look at, also I may see if my wife's uncle can do up a CAD print for me
I don't know how much leeway he has for "projects" at the shipyard.

I'll see if they can copy it... but I may run into a road block that I ran into in the past....
I own a WWII government poster showing the breakdown of the M1 Garand I tried
to have it copied they would not do it saying "Copyright"! yet it was a 50 year old
poster and no copyrights present..... frustrating to say the least.... I may have the same
issues with this even though there are no attributes as to who made it.

By the way my friend mentioned he had other artillery Blue prints in better condition,
I have to get him to let me see them.

You got me thinking. I have three WWII aircraft recognition sheets and pulled them out to see if they were copyrighted. Nope, but is says "Restricted" on the bottom. Frank
