Stoeger Model 2000 Opinions

I am considering getting a Stoeger Model 2000.  I know they are made by Benelli and also use Benelli's Inertia System.  What i don't know is if quality and operation are sacrificed for cost, the weapon costs $420-500.  Does anyone have any personal experience with this shotgun or know anyone who owns one?  It seems like a great deal but i want to be sure before i buy it.  Thanks for your help.

I have one and love it. The action is smooth as glass. I bought mine(black stock) new off Auction Arms for $315. I modified a Mossberg and a Benelli stock shim to get a perfect fit.

First of all----NOT made by Benelli----but LICENSED by Benelli-----BIG difference.

They seem serviceable enough----but I'm seeing a lot in the used rack too----if that means anything??
