Zastava AK47 with 10 round single column mag

Anyone shoot one of these? There's one available in town and I got to admit, I am intrigued.  The only sticking point is the mag well will only accept this single column magazine, not a standard AK.

It has a good trigger and a thumbhole plastic stock that fits my bear paw of a hand fairly well. Just can't bring myself to spend the money or trade a piece towards it.

Saw one at a gun shop and asked about it.  The guy said it could be opened to take ak mags.  Or he said he could order a single stack mag that was over 10 rounds.  Does anyone know if this is true?

It is my understanding that some people will open up the mag well to accept hi-caps.  I have never done that myself.

if you do it , make sure you stay 922r compliant .you'll need to add U.S. made parts . Century arms wasr are the same rifle opened up , that's why they don't have the magazine bumps at the bottom of the rerciever
