« on: June 04, 2010, 07:52:09 AM »
say that fast 3 times ;D Iam taking the grandkids fishing this weekend and the gear  has old,old line in them. normally I took them to the local tackle shop and they set them up on a jig of sorts and filled em up. the shop in defunk now so do I need to keep a little tension on the line as I feed it off my bulk spool or just let the reels do the work? these are plain jane open face spinning and baitcast reels thanx!

I hold the line about a foot in front of the bail with a rag . Also with spinning reals let the line come off the end or the spool and make sure you are not winding it on backwards causing it to want to spring off or twist up . Just see how it comes off if your bail just moves it to the real spool you are good but if it looks like it is twisting it turn the spool end for end and let it come off the other way.
If ya can see it ya can hit it !
