Range report on 357max FTF
« on: June 13, 2010, 02:00:35 PM »
After doing the trigger job and replacing the hammer spring with the Wolf extra power, I took her to the range.  Didn't have a lot of ammo loaded, only 9rds.  We were focused on seeing how my friends new 17 shot.  The max had one FTF out of the 9, but I think the problem may be form more than function.  When I rechambered the unfired rd. and just pulled the trigger without trying to group my shots it fired.  It did have a light hammer strike the first time.  Do you think I'm letting off and the transfer bar is dropping out of the way?  Trigger pull is great.

Any thoughts?

Light triggers can cause the t-bar to not stay up long enough, so it's even more important to follow thru pulling the trigger all the way to the rear at the break.
