The only two choices are 22 Hornet or 223.

There are only a few 'smiths that do re-bore work...Oregunsmith, Reboring by Jess at 35caliber http://www.35caliber.com/, and a couple of other you need to search for yourself.

Prices run from about $225 to $400 or more in some cases.

The 6.5 Lapua is an interesting cartridge along with the 6mm through 30 cal versions.

Step up to the .473 case size and you have a lot more choices and can still use the Lapua case if you want.  I built an stub barrel NEF 6mm BR I like very much that would have been a 6.5 cal if I had a 6.5 cal barrel instead.

To many choices...not enought time OR money....  >:(  ;D  ::) Hahahahahahahahah

Wayne York did a rebore/rechamber for me on a Remington 760 from 30-06 to 338-06.  With shipping both ways it was around $425 total.  Rechambering to a different base cartridge would have been more.  He does, as many here can attest, excellent work.

MY BAD  -  just found the check stub - it was $350 including return shipping.  Sorry - old brain.
