Nikki Haley supports Obama

Haley supported President Obama's decision to change the leadership of the U.S. military operation in Afghanistan after Rolling Stone magazine published an article in which Gen. Stanley McChrystal was critical of members of Obama's national security team.

"I think the president did what he needed to do," Haley said of Obama's decision earlier Wednesday to replace McChrystal with Gen. David Petraeus

As an aside, did Petraeus get demoted by taking this job?

Many of the news media, (AP) for one, is saying that McChrystal was "sacked". They are making comparisons to MacArthur. When in fact he resigned and Osama accepted his resignation. That is not being "sacked", "fired" or whatever; it is McChrystal quitting. And I agree, it was the honorable thing to do. When you screw up, you "fall on your sword" so to speak.

  her saying the obama did what he needed to do is a long way from supporting her.    nice try though.
