Bomar Adjustable Sights
« on: July 03, 2010, 12:37:38 PM »
Does anyone know the click adjustment value of the Bomar rear sights?  The question came up today at the Steel Challenge match. One shooter swore it was 1/4 min. I'm thinking it's more like 1/2 min or more. Appreciate all feedback.

I do seem to ask the hard questions.  I'm still looking for the answer myself as time permits.

Hey savage, no, but, you could take the adjustment screw out, measure the pitch, calculate the change in elevation using the thread pitch.

The reason there isn't an answer is that the change in point of impact will vary based upon distance between front and rear sight.

To get the final answer, you'll need to do the math in minute of arc (MOA) based upon sight radius of your pistol.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply Sharke! Rough numbers were what I was looking for. I don't count clicks on pistol sights, I just dial um in. I did finally find the information I was looking for, roughly 1/2".
Thanks,
