Matthews compared Obama to Carter.

Olbermann: "Nothing specific at all was said."

Matthews: "No direction."

Howard Fineman: "He wasn't specific enough."

Olbermann: "I don't think he aimed low, I don't think he aimed at all. It's startling."

Howard Fineman: Obama should be acting like a "commander-in-chief."

Matthews: Ludicrous that he keeps saying [Secretary of Energy] Chu has a Nobel prize. "I'll barf if he does it one more time."

Matthews: "A lot of meritocracy, a lot of blue ribbon talk."

Matthews: "I don't sense executive command."

a few things stand out to me.... one being that they seem to be upset that he is not in control ....two that he isnt using that control to ram their agenda through.   they too,are tired of his endless speeches and appointments; but for entirely different reasons than the rest of us.

After 4 photo ops to the gulf coast I'd hoped he'd shut up. If osama ever says anything important, post it here. Like always, I turned the tv off as soon as I saw his lying face. I wonder how many millions of $ his photo ops have cost us??? POWDERMAN.

powderman, I said the same thing last night. My wife said she needed to watch the speech for her economics class, I told her I had no need to watch it because what he says seems to have very little bearing on what he does. I guess that is how it goes when everything you say is written by someone else, and you have no real experience at being in charge of anything, not even your own home.
