A custom for my custom!
« on: June 15, 2010, 04:07:09 PM »
A custom TC needs a custom knife to match. This Tender wears a custom wood set made from stabilized maple, a 14" SSK 6.5JDJ barrel. Custom knife maker David Pitt made me this knife to match the wood set. And does it look great!!!

David...ya gotta stop doing this!  Please tell me the gun doesn't shoot better than 3" at 100 yards and the knife has a dull bent blade.   ;D

I love the wood. I have been looking for something just like that for my 7-30 Waters. Who did the wood for your gun? I would like to get in touch with them.

Thanks for the help

Well David...just as I suspected.  Pure quality  and style.  The wood is very unique.  Nice that the stabilizing process makes the distressed types of wood durable as they certainly make for nice stocks and knife handles.  To me they are like a "natural camouflage".

Congrats on a sweet combo. ;)

Dave does all his own wood, and does very nice wook for others too.  Do a search on his name here and you should come up with a lot of pics of beautiful wood, or PM him if you're looking to buy, I'm sure he'll send you pics.

Dave knows that he is not allowed to sell on a discussion forum, so I suspect he follows up questions like this with a PM keeping it within the rules.
