I have a shorthair pointer that is very sparce hair on his belly and under arms and when hunting him last weekend he got rubbed up pretty good. Never had this problem before.It was very dry, hot and alot of thisle where we were hunting. Too hot to ware a vest,any way he does alot of srcatching on the rubbed area and it is making it worse. Doesnt apeare to be any stickers or thorns.Is there any good salve I could put on the irritated area?

I also have shorthairs and if you have tall grass to hunt in they sometimes get speargrass embedded in or under the skin. Possibly the problem. I would check him out for foreign matter in the skin, give him a bath and if the area isn't the size of half the dog treat it with EMT gel.

EMT gel is worth the price. I will say it again, it is worth the price. you can use it on yourself too. heals and stops bleeding and heals hot spots, irritations, etc. it will stop the itching too.

I know bass pro sells it... at least in the store down here, so I guess they have in online or from the magazine.

I have a Golden Retriever that has redness between his pads on all fours. I pretty sure it's some type of allergy. Nothing seems to help. I've tried every dog food known to man, still no help. What is this EMT Gel, and do pet supply stores have it like Pets Mart and the like?? Bill T.
