Flitz vs. JB bore paste for stainless
« on: November 25, 2003, 03:33:20 PM »
I want to restore the mirror polish on a stainless gun and I've heard that JB paste or Flitz is good for that. What's the difference between these products?

Flitz vs. JB bore paste for stainless

Flitz is a polishing compound and J-B is a bore cleaning compound.  I'd guess the difference is in the abrasives used.  Flitz would use a harder longer lasting abrasive while J-B's abrasive is design to clean so would be softer and non-imbedding..  I'd use the Flitz..  Although it probably won't remove large scratches or nicks.
