Love my 722
« on: June 21, 2010, 10:22:40 AM »
After refinishing the stock and an aggressive cleaning my 722 .300 Savage is turning into what I'd hoped she'd be.So far I've only shot Remington 150 gr factory loads ( all I can find) and her accuracy and reliability is first rate. With the factory open sights sub 2 inch 100 yard groups are no problem. When I got her she was shooting high so I shaved .065 off the bottom of the step elevator an viola , she's spot on. I'd like to adjust the trigger for less pull weight, right now she's a 5 pounder but otherwise excellent.I'm not sure how the adjustment is made.Any help would be appreciated.I might consider an aftermarket replacement , if one is available that lock the bolt handle. Thanks

it adjusts the same as a 700rem. trigger, very easy. if in dougt take it to a gunsmith,i think he would do it for 20.00-30.00. eastbank.
