Now that the new Federal law allowing state law to dictate much of the firearms usage in National Parks is in place, does it prohibit one from firing it?
Here is an article about a woman who fired her revolver into the ground to scare away a deer.
http://www.flatheadnewsgroup.com/articles/2010/06/24/hungryhorsenews/news/news_8722689696_02.txt She apparently thought the deer was aggressive and fired into the ground to scare it away.
The woman, who reported the incident and told on herself, wasn't cited, but given a warning. I've looked for the code that would prohibit such actions but can't find anything that would make it illegal.
I know some parks allow hunting so when is it okay to fire a gun in a national park?
