Missed out on a deal Thursday.

Picked up a copy of our local buy, sell, trade magazine that comes out every Thursday. Always have to check out the guns that are being sold. I just glanced at it as I had just gotten home from three days working out of town. Took a nap for an hour or so and picked it up again with a cup of coffee and studied it good this time. I almost spit my coffee everywhere as I read that a guy had a Savage in mint condition that was 357 mag over a 20 guage for $250.00. I called him and of course it was gone. I asked if it was a wood stocked 24-V and he said it had beautiful wood but he wasn't sure of the model and wanted to know if he did OK on the sale. I told him that he could have gotten 2 or 3 times as much for it. Would have loved to have been the lucky guy that ended up with it.

I wouldn't have told him.  Just makes him feel bad.
I've missed some deals, too.  Ran into a guy coming out of a pawn shop I used to visit regularly, he had a very nice .303 Jungle Carbine, all original and matching. Paid $100 for it.  That was sad. For me.
