Saving weight on an 870

I have an 870 express (Youth model) 20 Ga. It has a laminated wood stock, and
I was wondering how much weight I could save,if any, by replacing the stock and forearm with a composite set. I do not know if any one makes the short stock in synthetic.

i have that same gun but i think the synthtic stock version weighs about the same. they makes an 18" vent rib barrel that takes choke tubes but i doubt it would save that much weight

It won't save that much weight but will make it less bulky especially in the forearm. I have both, but prefer lookin at the wood on my 30+ year old Wingmaster.

Yea, I like the way the wood looks and feels better too and if I could not save  at least a half a pound, I'll just leave it alone. Thanks for the replies,  Ron
