The 3000 is one of those that had difficulties like that due to the small semi-rim of the 32acp. Some functioned without a hiccup but others would hang up like that. I have seen some with the chamber indicator cut back so as to not affect functioning.
If you are in the mood to shoot the 32 acp, there are many, many surplus type firearms out there of newer production that will shoot that ammo for years without problem and you can keep your collectable in the safe. imo.
