I did some shootin' earlier today with my new 22mag sportster and tried 2 kinds of ammo. I was shooting some Armscor 40gr. SP ammo and some CCI 40gr. copper jacket ammo. I was shooting 5 shot groups at 25yds and each group was one ragged hole... funny thing is the Armscor grouped exactly 1 inch higher than the CCI. I wouldn't have imagined that 2 kinds of ammo of the same weight would shoot that much differently at only 25yds. The CCI ammo is rated at 1875fps. and the Armscor is rated at 1865fps. It wouldn't seem like 10fps. would be that big of a deal at 25yds... not enough to account for a 1" difference at the target. Am I missing something or just reading too much into it?
