Impressive.

But one wonders WHY the Navy uses Garands and bayonets.  Especially the bayonets.  That "Away Boarders!" is long past.

   I'm just guessing, but I think the Garrands are closer to balance end-to-end and obviously do not have so many projections as the M-16s, which could catch on hands or clothing.
  The bayonets...notice they are bare and unsheathed; that impresses the crowd and shows the confidence that young lieutenant has in his troop's timing and ability..

   ...And the Army..again, with unsheathed bayonets...

True, but I think those are Springfields.   :-\  If so, they are even better in that respect!   ;)

And again, Springfields.   ;D  But 2 things pain me... the bolts on those rifles were removed and the Troopers were uncovered during part of the drill... while under arms!   :'(

gotta watch the USMC...  :D

AtLaw;
  Right on both counts, I just didn't look that close at the rifles. Meanwhile, here is the USMC drill team:

They have come a long way since WWII when they learned to march using 1X4's cut too look like a rifle.
Back too the Marines:
