I have a glock 35 we bear hunt with dogs thought about taking it for a backup what bullet or shell brands would you use

Just for a backup and not hunting I would go with the Double Tap 200 grain FMJ. It is loaded with a Montana Gold brass jacketed 200 grain FMJ bullet. This load runs real good in my Glock model 22. Its ballistics are similar to the 200 grain Blazer 10mm load.

You won't get time to use all that magazine capacity, and will need knockdown power.  I will stay with 44Mag or 454 and six shots.
