Grip style preferance

I've got the herrett style grips on my contender. I like the lines and curves, they look good and they're not bad but was wondering if the pachmayer (sp?) would make the gun more controlable (sp?) Esp with the more heavy recoiling rounds. What do you think?

I have 2 Herret style grips, one with thumb rest and one without.   After shooting both for a while, I've come to like the one without the best.  The grip has just the right curve to fit my hand well and is more comfortable than the "competiitor" style that came with my late model frame.  I do have a Pachmayer grip one one of my other frames and while I use it with a 14 inch .35 Rem. barrel, it doesn't really need it.  I have it on that frame to match the Choate forend and it allows me to attach a sling for easier carry.  Otherwise the Herrets do just fine.  I did get a chance to handle the new G2 frame and do like the grip on that one.

While I have several custom wood sets made to exactly fit my hand, and a set or two of the Herret grips, by far the most comfortable and controllable grips for the heavey hitters are the Pachy Decelerators.   This is just some of my Contenders currently wearing them.

I will have to second the Pachy Decelerators grips
I have a herrette with thumb rest a set of Pachy Decelerators and the black plastic that came with the s.s. frame

The black plastic ones are not that bad but my pachs are the best I want to get another for my S.S. frame but dont have the funds to buy one right now.
