Got my Huntsman in short order!
« on: May 07, 2010, 04:58:12 PM »
I finally decided I was going to get a Huntsman about 2 weeks ago.  In twelve days I made the following deals on GBO,

Bought a new 20 ga Rifle slug barrel,

Traded the 20 ga barrel for a Huntsman barrel with forestock and Ramrod

Bought a new 28 ga Shotgun (local shop)

Sold the 28 ga barrel and stock set and kept the NIB SB1 receiver.

Put it all together, including a stock from my Pardner 410 ga. adult and presto I have a Huntsman.

Ordered the carrierless breech plug today.

I really appreciate GBO because when you decide to do a project you can find people here with the hardware and knowledge to help you put it all together.

Thanks to Arrowstar, JamesIII and Whitetailmaniac for helping assemble the necessary parts and thanks to the good folks in Warren, MI for making the replacement breech plugs.

Jed,

I have the only key to the gun room! ;D  Also I am careful never to take more than a couple of Handis to the range when my wife goes with me.
