Something I thought I would never consider

Its a fact.  My wife has had 3 back operations.  The last one did a lot for her, but she will have some significant chronic pain the rest of her life.  Basically she needs a small dose of prescription painkiller each night along with back massage (fun for me).  Anyway, even though I have never even smoked a cigarette, let alone used illicit drugs, I am wondering about the wisdom of stashing some mary-jee-wa-na seeds in case that is all there is.  Apparently the stuff is good smoked or consumed for chronic pain.  Has this occurred to anyone else, or am I way off base??

I am also wondering about this for the same reason (pain relief) but where can a person get em from?

From  personal experience it works better than the prescription muscle relaxers and gives almost instant relief from the leg and foot pain associated with disc problems.many states have made it legal for medical use, check local laws and attitudes many places will not prosecute possession of small amounts others make it a misdemeanor however there is still a lot of places that are very unfriendly. It does not need to be smoked in fact that is one of the most wasteful ways to use it.

I will continue with the prescription, but think this has to be a consideration if indeed the SHTF.

As stated..check your local laws! Then, go to somewhere it is legal and try it! Many of my staff smoked it essentailly as a relaxant...I take two valium and a norflex tab and they smoke a joint...I think they have the better medication. BUT, it only works for some types of pain. My best friend has 'phantom' pain from a shot up leg. nerve was cut above the knee so there is no actual feeling, but the daily shooting pains from the 'foot' have lead to him being on oral Morphine  We have tried everything less adictive

  like don said, if you think of it as an option, go somewhere where it is legal and have her try it.
