Used gun trade ins, multiple or singles, which give more value per unit?

When trading in a used handgun or rifle, which gets more credit per item to the seller, multiple trades or singles?  I once got the impression that the buyer would think he is entitled to a volume discount if you brought 2-3 handguns to trade, versus one.  What has been your experience on this odd and not prevously mentioned subject?

     Each item should stand alone on value, then you take the values of each and however many you want to trade in there is your value, at least thats how I do it in the Pawn shop, we use the Blue book of values when taking in and selling so everyone is on the same page, if both parties are happy then you have what is called a DEAL.   Jim

I agree.  If a dealer thinks he is going to discount my trade ins because I'm trading multiple guns I'm looking for another dealer.  As a side, just like selling a used car you are likely to do better in a private trade than with a dealer.

I worked in a pawn shop for awhile and they usually offered much less to people with multiple guns, because as the owner put it,"they're desperate if they've got a group of items and really need the money."  This idea extended to any group items brought in.
