I would like to see S&W come out with a 6" model of this caliber. I think it would be a great gun for the gals. My wife has a carry in .32 mag, 2 ". A 6" would be a great target/small game hunter.

Hello Jim
Wish full Thinking, But I myself don't see it happening. It seems the Higher Powers at S&W are trying to place the current offering in this round in the middle of the road being it is offered in a J-Frame with a 3" Barrel, Not really a good accurate choice for serious target shooting with this Hot New round. S&W did make a 631 in .32 H&R Magnum as a Kit Gun in a J-Frame with a 4" Barrel, but they did not sell well, so that model was discontinued. I know that you cannot take a .32 H&R Magnum cylinder that is stainless and convert it to the new Federal .327 Magnum caliber as the cartridge Pressure is Twice that of the old .32 H&R Magnum round.

I Longed to see S&W come out with a Medium size K-frame in this caliber to no avail either. That led me to have my existing K-Frame model 16-4 which was chambered in .32 H&R Magnum converted over to the new Federal .327 Magnum. I sent it's cylinder out to Hamilton Bowen who is doing the conversion for under $100.00. It came back to me and I had to hand Load for it as Factory ammo was extinct last fall. It shoots one hole groups after Bowen finished with it, and it has not effected the accuracy of it firing the .32 S&W Long Nor the .32 H&R Magnum.

I took it deer hunting last fall and Killed the Tennessee wild Cat shown below with it at 35 Yards. This round is lethal and super accurate.... Hammerdown

Hello
I finally got my Wild Cat Mount back yesterday after a 10 Month wait. I had asked the Taxidermist to mount him in a Full action Pose of attack mode. I will eventually add a large Fox squirrel or Rabbit between his paws when I find the right donor. The Taxidermist shared with me that this was the largest Wild Cat he had ever seen or mounted being 41-1/2" in length, and feels it may very well be a Tennessee State record due to it's size Proportion. He said that he had in the past mounted well over 200 cats from all over the United states, but this one was the biggest that he had ever seen or mounted. He had to order Two-forms to mount him on due to his size. He also commented on his eye color as he said most that he had mounted in the past were more brown in color and these eyes were custom ordered from England as they are of much higher quality than those offered in the United states and they seem to follow you across the room. The Mount adjusts up or down by taking down Two 1/2" Nuts located under the base, and there is Two 3/8" steel rods inside the Mold to stiffen the Pose. He will reside in our living room on a custom built corner shelf

Hello Fella's
Thanks for the Kind comments. I am on the Hunt now for a Large Fox squirrel to have my Taxidermist mount it in the Bob Cat's paws to complete the Mount. When I took it to him last year, I asked for it to be Mounted in an action Pounce mode, and told him I would get him a Large Squirrel or Grouse for it's Paw's, but do to a busy schedule I was not able to provide the cat with any prey before he was done with it, so now I have to finish what I started here... I have Located a Hunting spot of which the land owner claims he has seen some Very Rare Black Fox squirrels. He said The Two that he saw were the size of a large House cat with very Long Bushy tails.  Fox squirrels are getting thin here in East Tennessee but you can still find some small pockets of them if you know where to hunt for them. We are now just starting to get some snow which will make finding them a whole lot easier in the near future..I was offered a chance to hunt them last year on Clinch Mountain about an Hour North of Knoxvile. I was Hot to trot until I heard that our Local Game conservation guys released 1000 Timber Rattler's on that Mountain Last spring to introduce them back in the area. I do not like Rattler's, Copper Heads or Brown Recluse spiders so that Kiled my excitement over that hunting spot...Hammerdown

Hammerdown,

I have a 16-4 like yours only I put a pair of elk stag grips on mine. Personally I don't feel the need for a 327federal although I do own one sp101 in that caliber. I like the 32H&R mag well enough. Think I have 5 guns left in the 32h&r mag.
I have kept the smith mainly to hunt small game with if I ever live where I can again & if my eyesight holds out.

Nice bobcat,
