Does Wizzard really exist?
« on: August 06, 2010, 06:25:10 AM »
I went to my local gun dealer the other day to see if they had a Wizard in stock as I know he sells a lot of Rossi single shots.  Not only did he not have any in stock he said he was not even aware it existed.  I was interested in getting something other than an auto to shoot 7.62X39s.  The Wizzard says it doesn't offer this as a complete gun but as an 'extra' barrel.  I think Rossi does offers it as a complete gun in it's older model.  I don't want to pay a lot for one of these as I have a SKS and a Saiga now.  As I looked at the caliber choices in the wizard nothing jumps out me as I already have the ones that interest me in other guns.  Besides if I get a Wizard and then pay for the extra barrel I might as well get one of the bolt action guns in that caliber.  Has anyone had any experience with the older Rossi single shot in 7.62 X 39.  Were there any FTF problems with 'cheap" ammo?  I do reload tlhis cartridge when I can find brass for it.  I have read a lot about this and am looking for someone that actually ownes one and shoots it not just hear say info.

I have an older 7.62x39... I shoot alot of milsurp in it. the only time it misfires is if the primer is set deep.
