RCBS trigger pull Gauge
« on: August 27, 2010, 06:27:56 AM »
Mid-South has the RCBS premium trigger pull Gauge for $32.70. I have been thinking about getting one for a while now, and was looking for opinions on this one, also do you recommend using snap caps with it, the little I have read on them, you should test the pull 10 times per gun and average the pull weights

I can't comment on the RCBS, but have used the Lyman for 5yrs, it works very well, costs more, but IMO, worth the extra, it does the averaging for you too, has better reviews. I just had to replace the 9v battery in the Lyman, and I've use it a lot, so battery life is good, it turns itself off which is a good thing since I forget to turn my digital caliper off all the time!!  ::)

I've had one of the RCBS for several years.
Mine works good enough.

Thanks for the replies guys, and especially the links, for all I am doing I think I will go with the RCBS, I had  Brain freeze I guess, I usually do go to Mid-Way and read the reviews, and then order from Mid-south.

Guys,
Being a well-rounded outdoors person, here's my trigger pull scale:

Has memory, stores weights, does averages, accurate to ounces, displays ounces. And once in a while I catch a fish big enough to weigh!! ;D
