"Artificial light" regulation???
« on: July 16, 2010, 04:46:55 AM »
Having just installed a tru-glo red dot type sight on my encore I'm wondering if NYS considers this legal.  I'm not using artifical light to illuminate deer, just lighted dot/crosshair.

Knowing the DEC, its probably legal between the hours of 2-4 PM, on alternating thursdays, providing that the wind is blowing out of the east and you are standing on the south side of an unmarked road that is half paved with course stones.  Light must be purple, made in China, and you must have the proper permit signed in triplicate by your ex wifes mother. Permits are currently $ 4,000.00 and subject to change.  :)
Have a nice day.
