H R 633 revolver questions
« on: July 21, 2010, 08:12:05 AM »
I recently acquired a 633 in 32 S W.  I have some questions about it.

Is there a way to find out when it was manufactured?

The cylinder seems a bit on the loose side but being totally unfamiliar with revolvers maybe not- how much side to side play is normal?

When I remove the cylinder and squeeze the trigger I dont see the firing pin moving at all - shouldnt I be seeing this if it is firing normally?

How do I tell if this is a 32 S W long or regular?

many thanks

633 was mfrd 1953-1959 has a round butt, 633 2nd model 1977-1979. There should be someone to help with more info on it if you're patient, they don't come around too often. There are serial number build year codes in the FAQs sticky that may help too, see the sticky Year of Manufacture above.
