I would like to know the name of the type of

sights on the sigs  I have a sight with a small square in the back sight opening and a dot in front it looks like a small case i I am looking for night sights in the same style thanks.

Sounds similar to straight eight sights.  I'm sure someone on the site will know what they are and chime in.  BT

They're called "contrast sights" and are also slangly refered to as "post and dot".

That is the standard SIG sight, not a "common mame for it in the street jargon" but a very popular and effective after-market unit is made by Heinie-called a "Straight 8" in a night sight that gives you an illuminated  "8" sight picture that is excellent. I spent several Christmas Bonas checks adding them to ALL my carry guns.  Check the Brownell's website for details.
