Chrono on the 45/70 Muzzleloader W/Smokeless Powder
« on: August 08, 2010, 02:37:10 PM »
Went to woods this weekend, to where this barrel was made. The system is this: 50g W748, 325g GCFN 44 cal bullet, patched  W/over the powder paper wad. 1250 FPS average. 4" at 50y. I can't shoot any better. 4X scope. I couldn't hold it Steady at 100y but hit MOA of deer most of the time. This is a minimal load and can be increased up to 458W Properties. Not me buddy. I think that will kill a deer and a few other critters. This project is complete. PS; Surviver stock and the collapsable brass ram rod is in a case 12" long, Velcro flap, and goes on the sling.
