G2 wont cock

Hi there new to forum hope I can get some help, just got a new G2 frame and when I put my 375 win barrel on it,it wont cock. The hammer moves a little bit and stops. When I open the action the hammer wont cock that way eather. Any ideas? ???

The locking lugs probably are not engaging deep enough to engage the interlock to let the hammer cock. On the barrel is the lug a solid one piece or the newer two piece lugs. Either way the lugs can be honed very gently and a small amount at a time if that is the problem.

Go to the "Specialty Pistols" web-site and go to the forms and do a search or just ask there how to fit the lugs properly. You will find how to do it. It is simple. You need a sharpie pin and a fine whetstone. It does not take much stoning of the lugs to get the fit right.
