Rossi 22-250 I was scammed!
« on: August 08, 2010, 12:00:40 PM »
Well in looking for a 22-250 to shoot heavy bullet in the 60 to 70 grain range i saw rossi heavy barrel listed on there website as having a 1 in 10 twist which would work. Had a handi but it was a 1 in 14. Well have been loading and shooting the rossi with terrible results with winchester 64 grain power points. Well was going to order some shorter bullets tday and thought let me get out my cleaning rod and a patch and see what i get. Well it is also a 1 in 14. Pissed would be an understatement. I had even called them prior to the purchase and there cs said it was a 10. They will get a ear full tmorrow!

you can call their cust service line to verify.
The difference between people who do stuff and people who don't do stuff is that the people who do stuff do stuff.

The way to get one is to buy a .223 with a 1 in 9 and rechamber it to 22-250.  It is dead easy to do.  Larry
A gun is just like a parachute, if you ever really need one, nothing else will do.

Well after speaking to Rossi on monday they said that there website is a misprint in stateing that the 250 is 1in10 and that it is a 14 twist. They sent fedx to pick the gun up from me for return tday. They said theywill follow up with me once they receive the rifle back. At this point I want replacement rifle in a different caliber that I can use for deer.
