New Mossberg .22 lever action?

I was at my local gunshop today and saw a .22 caliber lever action with the Mossberg sticker on it.  I did not know they had anything like that out, despite subscribing to 3 gun magazines! .  The rifle had plain wood for a stock, what appeared to be a painted receiver, not sure on what kind of metal is used in its construction.  The lever had to be pushed up to make the gun fire, a safety feature I am sure.  Otherwise, I liked the balance and sights.  They were asking $370.00 for it.  Another option in the lever action family of .22's.

Anyone own or shoot one of these, how did they like it?

With all of the bad things I have said about cheap guns, this is probably going to make somebody angry at me..., which is not my intention at all...!

Where does pride of ownership come into play, when you have a cheap firearm, with a painted receiver? I'll keep my quality Marlin 39's and my quality Winchester 9422 lever guns, With their Blue steel receivers...!

Again, not intending to flame anyone, but having a cheap firearm handed to me, makes my skin crawl. I'm not wealthy, far from it, I live on a small fixed income. I save my money until I can afford the best available. Sometimes it takes quiet a while. However, pride of ownership makes it worth while.

I know that Mossberg had a bolt action cheapo looking .22 from 2007 when I was last shopping for a .22 rifle that was made in S. America.  I did not look close enough to see where the lever action was made.  Yeh, the inexpensive look was there on it, my impression was that it is made as a utility gun for general hunting, not something that would be appreciated in the long run in the looks dept.

FWIW, every .22lr Mossberg 464 levergun I've seen over the last 10 mos sported a "Made in USA" sticker.

They are constructed with a receiver cover, like the Henry H001, with the receiver proper underneath.

They additionally sport crude, tang safeties, and equally crude rear barrel sights - but are made to meet a price point.

SHOOTING TIMES gun magazine ran an article featuring them, not too long ago, IIRC.
