Freedom arms load data
« on: August 11, 2010, 12:29:48 PM »
What do you all make of the freedom arms load data, specifically that for the 454 casull.  Is the action significantly stronger than an SB2 handi rifle receiver?  Do they compare with the encore?  I am interested because it is the only load for the 454 that I have found using aa1680.

Any thoughts?

I do not own a Freedom Arms firearm due to the cost. I can tell you that I have handled them and they are truly a fine firearm.  The cylinders lock up like a bank vault and they are manufactured from top shelf materials.  I have owned a TC Contender and I have 2 Handi rifles. I believe that the design of the FA, plus it being a revolver with barrel support on the top and bottom of the barrel, would make it a stronger platform than either of the breech loaded firearms mentioned previously - therefore I believe that the FA would support higher pressure loads than the TC or Handi platform.
