Need a little advice.

 I want to get a new Recurve, and I don't know what to get. I want one that I can target shoot, hunt, and bow fish with. I have looked at a couple on PSE website that are $100.00 or a touch higher. The only problem is that the PSE website doesn't tell you much information like, does it have a stabilizer hole so I can mount my fishing reel , or any of the tapped hole specs.

I will leave this one in the hands of the knowledgeable and wisdom filled trad men and women. COTTON HELP ME COTTON, I've got the bat light shinning over Gotham, or should I say the Cotton light LOL.

Hmmmmm, now if it were me lets seeeeee I got a vintage Bear Super Kodiak Grayling that come with threaded stablizer hole (check) Want to use for a target bow... ah came with sights, but I removed (check) No problem with it as a hunting bow (check)  but you want a new bow

You could do all 3 things with the Samick Sage Take Down recurve both companies sell these for about $129.99  You can use an elivated rest, I don't know if a sight option is available as I don't know if it is taped for threaded holes or not.  I personally do not use a sight, and am really not a serious target shooter.  Fun targets yes, like we have been doing, golf ball, grape, cheerio and so on.  But ASA Targets no, I don't work on bullseye targets.  I haven't gotten into bow fishing because on this side of the rockies here in Montana, its not allowed.

I have no experience with PSE bows.  Samick and Bear Archery only with a couple of vintage Browning Wasp thrown in... I got 7 recurves now    But if I could bowfish, I would set up one of my low poundage recurves just for that and that alone.  Then set up another bow, just as a target bow and so on.

But you want a 3 in 1 recurve..... hmmm All Hawks Kill where are you?

I'll have to recommend a Samick Sage (order from 3Rivers because of their Customer Services) as a good balance for all three, but you will be limiting yourself as doing all 3 (target, bowfishing and hunting) is tough out of one bow.  The reason I say this is the bowfishing part (Cotton is on the right track) where you generally go with a bit of a lighter draw weight for quicker shot, and a lot of shots.  Not that you can't bowfish with a 50-60# bow, it is just not the general rule as you are not looking for full pass throughs on the fish and at the short ranges you will do that with a heavy bow.  This also depends on what you are going to hunt with the bow.  If it is small game, then a 30-40# bow would be the ticket.  However if you are thinking deer I'd have to recommend a 45# bow would give you what you are looking for best.

I've been considering ordering a 30# Sage to set up as a bowfishing rig myself.

BN I have a Sage and it is a great bow.  Bought it as just a cheap backup bow to take on hunts as it wouldn't take up much space.  I was very impressed with what I got when it came, it is far from the cheap bow I was expecting, and it shot very nicely.  As your pictures suggest, it has all the wholes in the right places for everything you are looking for in a bow.
